Queensland wicketkeeper Chris Hartley says he's bursting with pride and enthusiasm to play his 100th first-class match.
Hartley reaches the milestone in the Sheffield Shield match against South Australia starting on Wednesday in Brisbane.
"I haven't played too much over the last six weeks," said Hartley, a spectator during the Big Bash League.
"I have had some good hit-outs in club cricket recently so the enthusiasm is absolutely up there for this Shield game.
"I'm catching the ball well, hitting the ball well, so I'm pumped for Wednesday."
Hartley's milestone comes in a crucial fixture with the Bulls currently fourth on the Shield table with 10 points and the Redbacks topping the table on 22 points.
The 31-year-old gloveman becomes the 14th player to reach 100 first-class games for Queensland.
"It's probably something that you hope to do, but you don't really keep track of it until you get closer to it," he said.
"I always knew I was good enough to play at this level. And if you go out there and perform, then there is no reason why you can't reach a milestone like 100 games."
Queensland have summoned Gold Coast 19-year-old Nick Stevens for the clash against the Redbacks.
The promising batsman suffered a knee injury while fielding during his Shield debut last November and didn't get a hit. He was sidelined two months.
Stevens returns to cover the absence of Chris Lynn, who sustained a fractured rib while playing for Australia in the Twenty20 series against England.
SA will be without paceman Kane Richardson, who will remain in Adelaide to attend a funeral, while emerging batsman Sam Raphael has taken the spot of Phil Hughes, who was drafted into Australia's Test squad in South Africa.
