England powerhouse Sam Burgess is on track to return from injury in the Rugby League World Cup quarter-finals or even earlier, according to one teammate.
Burgess hurt his knee during England's loss to Australia in the tournament opener.
There were early fears the star forward would miss the rest of the World Cup.
