The Australian Muslim Women's Association has condemned another attempt to ban the burqa across New South Wales.
Christian Democratic Party leader Fred Nile has moved a private member's bill in state parliament that would ban the wearing of the burqa and other face coverings in public.
It comes after his failed attempt at banning face coverings in 2010.
Jamila Hussain is a Research Associate in the Law Faculty at Sydney's University of Technology was formerly with the Association.
She's told Zara Zaher the move is anti-Islamic and a political stunt.
