Burst water main closes Sydney's York St

Crews in Sydney's CBD are still working on road repairs in York St after a water main burst overnight, delaying commuters heading into the city.

A burst water main on York Street is causing traffic disruptions in Sydney's city centre.

The problem has been fixed but York Street remains closed while crews repair the road surface.

Buses heading into the city are terminating at Chatswood, North Sydney, Macquarie Park and Macquarie University railway stations so commuters can switch to trains.

Motorists heading into the city from the north are being advised to use the Cahill Expressway or Western Distributor.
