Bushfire east of Perth no longer a threat

A bushfire that was at risk of threatening homes east of Perth has been contained by firefighters.

Firefighters have contained a bushfire that was approaching homes east of Perth.

A watch and act message issued on Friday for northern Darlington has been downgraded, with no threat to lives or homes.

The bushfire burning between Coulston Rd and Padbury Rd on Greenmount Hill is contained and under control, the Department of Fire and Emergency Services says.
