Bushfire threatens at SA conservation park

The Country Fire Service is fighting a blaze at the Talapar Conservation Park in South Australia's Lower South East region.

A bushfire at the Talapar Conservation Park in South Australia's Lower South East region may threaten the safety of residents.

The Marcollat scrub fire, near Beaumaris Road, Forest Road and Deep Water Road, is burning east towards Keppoch, Grubbed Road and the Riddoch Highway.

People in the area may be at risk because the fire is burning out of control and conditions are continually changing, the Country Fire Service says.

"If your plan is to leave or you are not prepared, leave now," the CFS said.

"Only leave if the path is clear to a safe place."

Well-prepared and actively defended homes can offer safety.
