Two bushwalkers have been rescued from the Barrington Tops National Park in NSW after being trapped overnight in torrential rain and storms.
The men - aged 46 and 48 - were believed to be canyoning and abseiling in the park when they activated an emergency beacon northwest of Dungog on Sunday evening, police said.
Bad weather prevented an immediate search of the bushland, but a vehicle belonging to the men was found.
Police and paramedics set out early Monday morning to look for the pair, aided by the Westpac Rescue Helicopter and Aviation Search and Rescue.
They were found near Williams River just before 10am and winched to safety.
Both escaped uninjured.
