Cabbie bashed at Sydney car wash

A 60-year-old taxi driver has been taken to hospital with head injuries after he was bashed by man at a car wash in southwest Sydney.

A Sydney taxi driver is in hospital with head injuries after being bashed at a car wash in the city's southwest.

The 60-year-old man was found by emergency crews at a Lakemba carwash on Canterbury Road in the early hours of Friday.

Police say the driver was assaulted by a man, who fled from the scene.

A crime scene has been established at the car wash and police are forensically examining the taxi.
