The founder and long-serving chairman of taxi payments company Cabcharge is stepping down to focus on his battle with cancer.
Reg Kermode last week was advised he had developed an aggressive form of cancer.
"Some difficult weeks and perhaps months lay ahead of him," the company said on Tuesday.
Mr Kermode founded Cabcharge in 1976, and has been a member of its board since 1980.
He currently serves as chief executive and chairman, and will help the company to transition to a new chief executive in the coming weeks.
