Cahill wins it for Shenhua

Tim Cahill has scored to carry his Chinese Super League soccer side, Shanghai Shenhua, to a 1-0 win over Henan Jianye.

Tim Cahill has continued his prolific form with the only goal of the game as in-form Shanghai Shenhua defeated Henan Jianye 1-0 in their Super League clash.

The Australia midfielder, who moved to China earlier this year after leaving New York Red Bulls, pounced following a ball into the area from Bai Jiajun in the 49th minute of Monday's clash to record his sixth goal in Shanghai's last eight league matches.

Cahill's heroics have helped Shanghai pick up 14 points from an unbeaten six-match run that has lifted Francis Gillot's side up to fifth in the standings.

Henan, meanwhile, are now four points further back in eighth after seeing their winless streak stretch to five games - having previously won four on the trot.
