The aid agency Oxfam is calling on Australia and the international community to develop a multi-million-dollar post-Ebola recovery plan in west Africa.
It follows Liberia announcing a drop in confirmed cases of the deadly virus to only five currently, a dramatic turnaround in the country where Ebola has taken its deadliest toll.
Oxfam suggests a scheme like the post-Second World War Marshall Plan that helped Europe recover from the war could help the three affected countries.
It says Sierra Leone, Guinea and Liberia would be targeted to help them rebound from the disease.
Oxfam Australia's humanitarian-advocacy coordinator, Ben Murphy, told Ron Sutton the fall in new Ebola cases is cause for hope but stopping infections will not mean the end of the crisis.
