The Melbourne-based Human Rights Law Centre has criticised the suggestion that Australia may seek changes to the UN Refugee Convention.
The centre's Daniel Webb admits that on its own the 60 year old document cannot solve the world's refugee problems.
However he's told Santilla Chingaipe the Convention is the bedrock of international protection and should be built upon, not resiled from.
