Calls are being made for the proper regulation of tattoo inks, after researchers found some could cause cancer.

Black tattoo ink is made up of mostly nanoparticles, which are tiny particles of metal oxides.

The coordinator of the Friends of the Earth's nanotechnology project, Louise Sales, told Rachelle Alchin why nanoparticles in tattoo ink are raising concerns.
