Cambodia 'not fit' to take refugees from Nauru

The Australian Catholic Migrant and Refugee office says it's appalled by the proposal for refugees to be sent from Nauru to Cambodia.

The Catholic church's Migrant and Refugee office is urging the Australian government to reconsider its policy on resettling refugees.

Last week, the Cambodian government tentatively agreed to resettle immigration detainees from Nauru who are successful in their asylum claims.

The Australian Catholic Migrant and Refugee office says it's appalled by the proposal, saying Cambodia is not fit or stable enough to support refugees.

The Office's delegate, Bishop Gerard Hanna, spoke with Romi Levine.
