Two workers at a Cambodian resort have been charged with raping an Australian tourist after allegedly finding her drunk and asleep on a beach.

The pair allegedly took the 22-year-old woman back to their room at the Waikiki Beach Club in Sihanoukville on Monday night, the Cambodian Daily reports.

Police say both admitted to raping the woman following their arrest on Wednesday, the paper says.

Australia's foreign affairs department is aware of the reports but declined to comment further for privacy reasons.
