The Islamic Society of the Gold Coast says it hasn't yet given up plans for what would be the second mosque in the Queensland region.

The Gold Coast City Council has knocked back plans from the Society for a mosque in a warehouse in the suburb of Currumbin.

President of the Society, Hussin Goss, told Van Nguyen that's not necessarily the end of the matter.
