Jamaica's Veronica Campbell-Brown has her eyes firmly fixed on next year's world athletics championships in Beijing after claiming her first win at a Diamond League meet since her doping controversy.

Campbell-Brown won the women's 100m in 11.04 seconds in the penultimate Dimaond League meet of 2014 in Zurich on Thursday.

"My season has had highs and lows," said former double Olympic 200m champion Campbell-Brown, who had a two-year ban overturned in February.

The meet failed to produce any season's best performances with Jamaican superstar Usain Bolt pulling out at the weekend, deciding to bring an early end to his season.

Commonwealth champion Kemar Bailey-Cole won the men's 100m in 9.96 to beat American Michael Rodgers.

Britain's European champion James Dasaolu clocked 10.06 to take third ahead of Jamaican Asafa Powell and former world champion Tyson Gay, both of whom returned from drugs bans this summer, and finished fourth and eighth respectively.

World record holder and Olympic gold medallist David Rushida finished third in the 800m, behind Botswana's Nijel Amos and Ayanleh Souleiman of Djibouti.

Amos, who beat Rushida to Commonwealth gold last month, finished first in 1:43.77, with Souleiman in 1:43.93, edging Rushida by three hundredths of a second.

World champion LaShawn Merritt eased to the 400m in 44.36, ahead of fellow American Gil Roberts in 44.96.
