Despite riding a three-game losing streak Canterbury say they're not far from turning around their quickly-sinking fortunes.
The Bulldogs have been their own worst enemies in consecutive losses to Penrith, North Queensland and Wests Tigers with errors, missed tackles and poor completion rates cruelling their chances.
The Bulldogs were leading the competition after 12 rounds but have slipped to fifth.
While a loss to Brisbane at Suncorp Stadium on Friday night is highly unlikely to see them drop out of the top eight, due to their positive for-and-against, it would leave them little time to get their campaign back on track.
Prop James Graham said the side would be looking to do the little things right against the Broncos and predicted they were not far off a pressure-relieving win.
"We've got to look at ourselves really," he said.
"If we go well, complete our sets, hold onto the ball better, come up with a couple of try saves here and there, we get give ourselves a better opportunity of winning the game."
The Bulldogs will be boosted by the return of NSW State of Origin centre Josh Morris, Aiden Tolman and Mitch Brown
It follows on from NSW five-eighth Josh Reynolds' return from suspension the previous week and captain Michael Ennis said the fact they were getting big name players back in key positions would help their cohesion.
"To be honest there's no excuse for the errors that we came up with," Ennis said.
"We came up with far too many, especially when you're trying to compete against a football side like Penrith. It will be exactly the same on Friday against Brisbane.
