The clash between the 2013-14 winners of the Champions League and Europa League will be staged at the south Wales home of Cardiff City on August 12.
The current holders are reigning European champions Bayern Munich, who defeated Chelsea in Prague earlier this season.
Jonathan Ford, chief executive of the Football Association of Wales, said on Monday: "The Football Association of Wales is delighted Cardiff will be hosting this year's UEFA Super Cup.
"Cardiff has hosted several high profile sporting events. This, however, is a first.
