Catalans Dragons Pomeroy at risk of ban

Catalans Dragons centre Ben Pomeroy has been charged with making a grade E dangerous throw and could be suspended for up to eight matches.

Catalans Dragons centre Ben Pomeroy is in danger of missing the rest of the season after being charged with making a grade E dangerous throw on Castleford's Ashley Gibson during his side's 44-26 win over the Tigers.

Pomeroy was sent off - for the second time in three matches - in the 29th minute of Saturday's Super 8s game and has been charged by the Rugby Football League's match review panel.

The Australian, who was making his return from a one-match ban for a shoulder charge, could be suspended for between four and eight matches if found guilty when he appears in front of a disciplinary tribunal on Tuesday evening.
