Talented Geelong onballer Josh Caddy has been traded to Richmond in a move which will bolster the Tigers' midfield depth with star Brett Deledio expected to depart.

With Deledio's move to Greater Western Sydney expected to be sealed on Thursday, the Tigers gained 24-year-old Caddy and the No.56 pick in this year's draft in exchange for picks 24 and 64.

"We love what Josh is going to bring to our team, he's a big-bodied, aggressive midfielder (who) can run, win the contested footy, and also kick goals," Richmond football manager Dan Richardson said.
