Australia's largest privately owned cattle producer says recent free trade deals with China, Japan and South Korea are already generating benefits.

Consolidated Pastoral Company (CPC), which operates 20 cattle stations on more than 5.7 million hectares of land, says it is an exciting time for the local beef industry.

"CPC is extremely well placed to benefit from the favourable industry dynamics driving global beef markets and is already seeing the benefits from recently completed free trade agreements," CPC chief executive Troy Setter said on Monday.

"We continue to see hard evidence of ever-increasing demand from our Asian neighbours seeking high quality Australian beef."

The combination of growing demand for cattle and beef and declining global beef herds provides positives for CPC, he said.

The company has reported a 38 per cent rise in revenue over the 12 months to the end of March, to $88.5 million.

Cattle numbers were up three per cent to 384,000, and its total assets stand at $735 million.

Mr Setter said the company's strong financial performance reflects the changes it has made to become a supplier and marketer of cattle and beef, with a strong focus on Asian markets.

CPC also holds a 50 per cent stake in a joint venture that operates two feedlots in Indonesia.
