LeBron James and Kyrie Irving scored 18 points each, Kevin Love added 16 with as many rebounds, and the surging Cleveland Cavaliers crushed the hosting New York Knicks 101-83 on Sunday for their 16th win in the last 18 games.

Following last Sunday's All-Star Game, the Cavs (35-22) also whipped Washington by 38 on Friday.

JR Smith fired in 17 points while Iman Shumpert contributed four with seven assists and five rebounds in their return to Madison Square Garden.

Langston Galloway had 13 points to pace the league-worst Knicks (10-45), who fell behind early and never recovered en route to their seventh straight loss.

James scored a dozen points and the visitors hit 15-of-21 shots to take a 36-17 lead after one quarter that swelled to 62-38 at halftime.

Cleveland carried an 81-55 cushion into the final stanza and coasted home with the wire-to-wire win.

Elsewhere the Indiana Pacers edged Golden State Warriors 104-98. Rodney Stuckey scored 30 points, and the Pacers (23-33) won for the sixth time in the last seven games after defeating the league-best, but short-handed Warriors.

Klay Thompson scored 39 for visiting Golden State (43-10), playing without All-Star guard Stephen Curry because of right ankle soreness. Andrew Bogut had four points and nine rebounds.

Oklahoma City Thunder powered home over the Denver Nuggets 119-94 with Russell Westbrook collecting 21 points and a career-high 17 assists and Enes Kanter netting 20 with 12 rebounds.

The Thunder, (31-25) minus Kevin Durant, won their sixth in a row while handing the visiting Nuggets (20-35) their seventh loss in eight games.

Reigning league MVP Durant underwent a procedure to have a screw replaced to reduce soreness in his surgically-repaired right foot.

In other clashes Atlanta Hawks beat Milwaukee Bucks 97-86; Memphis Grizzlies edged Portland Trail Blazers 98-92; Dallas Mavericks were too good for the Charlotte Hornets 92-81; Orlando Magic beat the visiting Philadelphia 76ers 103-98; the Detroit Pistons rallied past the visiting Washington Wizards 106-89; and the LA Lakers needed overtime to top the visiting Boston Celtics 1118-111.
