Britain's Mark Cavendish has continued his domination of the sprint stages of the Tour de France in recent years with another victory, this time in stage five of the 100th edition of the race.
The win was the Omega Pharma-Quickstep rider's 24th stage win of his career.
The Australian Orica GreenEDGE team didn't manage to win a third stage in succession, but Simon Gerrans did retain the overall leader's yellow jersey for the squad.
Murray Silby reports.
