Some Commonwealth Bank customers have been left waiting on payments into their accounts after a systems glitch left the lender unable to process transfers.

The bank says it has remedied the issue and worked through a backlog of payments, which include wages, Centrelink payments and transfers between accounts.

"We can confirm that all outstanding payments and transfers have now been processed and customers should start to see this reflected in their accounts," a CBA spokesperson said.

"Commonwealth Bank apologises to all customers who were affected by this delay and we thank them for their patience."
