Canterbury rookie Herman Ese'ese has been stood down until further notice by the NRL club after being charged with mid-range drink driving.
The promising player failed to show up to court earlier this month, after the 20-year-old was charged with mid-range drink-driving in February.
Ese'ese made his NRL debut last weekend against Manly.
He eventually appeared on Thursday in Burwood Local Court where he was fined $1000 and also suspended from driving for nine months.
After standing Ese'ese down, the Bulldogs released a statement, saying they were working with the NRL integrity unit in relation to the matter.
The club said it would offer further comment once all investigations were complete.
