ANZ chief executive Shayne Elliott has completed his shake-up of the bank structure with an overhaul of its wealth management business.

Joyce Phillips, who has led the wealth division since its formation in 2012, is leaving and current insurance managing director Alexis George will head ANZ's Australian insurance, super and investments activities in a single business.

Wealth in New Zealand and Asia will report to retail groups in their respective domains, and Mr Elliott, who replaced Mike Smith in January, said his restructure was complete.

"I think we're largely done ... We're now sitting in the structure that I want in terms of the way we think about the business," Mr Elliott said.
