Charges after man's head set on fire

A Brisbane woman will face court after allegedly spraying a flammable substance on a man's head and setting him on fire with a cigarette lighter.

A Brisbane woman who allegedly used a cigarette lighter to set a man's head on fire has been charged by police.

Police say the East Brisbane woman sprayed a flammable liquid on the man's head before igniting it with a cigarette lighter in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

He suffered burns to his ear, face and head but his condition is not life-threatening.

The 28-year-old woman will face Brisbane Magistrates Court on September 16 on one count of grievous bodily harm.
