Newly re-signed Manly halfback Daly Cherry-Evans is set to make his comeback from an injured shoulder in Friday night's NRL clash against Brisbane.

Cherry-Evans has missed the past three weeks - including the State of Origin series-opener - after hurting his shoulder in the Sea Eagles' round 10 defeat to Penrith.

But just two days after signing a lifetime contract to stay at Brookvale, Cherry-Evans will take his place in the Manly line-up at Suncorp Stadium.

"He trained well this morning. We're pretty confident that he'll have a great game," coach Geoff Toovey said at Sydney Airport on Thursday afternoon.
