Chiefs name two new assistant coaches

Tasman NPC coach Kieran Keane and Canada national forwards coach Neil Barnes will be on the Chiefs coaching staff for the next two Super Rugby seasons.

The Chiefs have confirmed their coaching staff for the next two Super Rugby seasons, with head coach Dave Rennie and assistant Andrew Strawbridge to be joined by Tasman NPC coach Kieran Keane and Canada's national forwards coach Neil Barnes.

The two newcomers replace forwards coach Tom Coventry, who is leaving to become head coach of London Irish, and Wayne Smith, who is unavailable.

"We are well aware of the importance of having a world class coaching group to succeed in this competition," Chiefs chief executive Andrew Flexman said.
