A child has died in a road crash in Katherine.
Police say a vehicle hit a pedestrian crossing Bicentennial Road, near the Victoria Highway, after 5.30pm (CST).
A child died at the scene and two women were injured, Duty Superintendent Bob Harrison said.
No further information was available.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
The Northern Territory road toll is 22, compared with 16 this time in 2013.
