Chinese city hit by multiple 'parcel' explosions; 6 dead

In what appeared to be a coordinated attack, bombs ripped through multiple locations in the Chinese city of Liuzhou on Wednesday, killing at least six people and injuring many others, according to state media.

The explosives were reportedly hidden in parcels and targeted several sites, including a prison, a government office, a supermarket, a hospital, and a local center for disease control. Officials urged people not to open unmarked parcels.

Photographs from the scene showed partially collapsed buildings and injured people being treated on the street.

Chinese officials reportedly have a suspect in custody. There is no word yet on the motive.
