Christina Aguilera has confirmed she's pregnant and expecting a little girl.

The singer revealed the baby news to fans for the first time during a concert in Malaysia on Friday, weeks after announcing her engagement to Matt Rutler in February.

The Genie in a Bottle star, who is already mum to six-year-old Max, told fans at the Shangri-La Grand Ballroom: "I have another little one... This is her first show; you guys are her first show."

The singer's future mother-in-law let news of the baby slip during an interview with In Touch magazine in February, revealing that Aguilera was getting ready to announce the big news.

Excited Kathleen Rutler told the publication: "I've been sort of told not to say anything."

She refused to open up further, but appeared to slip up when she was asked about her son Matt's wedding plans and where he and Aguilera would call home when they become man and wife.

The New Jersey native said: "I don't know what their plans are, but when you have a baby, you're not planning on moving anywhere anytime soon!"
