Cibulkova to play Fed Cup for Slovakia

Australian Open finalist Dominika Cibulkova has been named in the Slovakian team ahead of ahead of next month's first round of the Fed Cup against Germany.

Cibulkova lost to Li Na 7-6 (3), 6-0 in her first major final, which saw her jump to No.13 in the WTA rankings.

In a team announced on Wednesday, she will be accompanied by Daniela Hantuchova, Magdalena Rybarikova and Jana Cepelova for the February 8-9 series on an indoor hard court at Bratislava's National Tennis Center.

The two teams split their previous two encounters: Slovakia won the 2003 first round clash, while Germany claimed victory in the second round in 1994.

Slovakia won the competition in 2002 while Germany's last triumph was back in 1992.
