Cigarettes stolen in SA supermarket raid

A large quantity of cigarettes have been stolen from a Salisbury supermarket.

A man has stolen a large quantity of cigarettes from a northern Adelaide supermarket.

The man jemmied the front door of a Woolworths supermarket at Hollywood Plaza in Salisbury early Wednesday morning, police said.

He tripped the alarm and police were alerted but the man escaped with the cigarettes before they arrived.

Police believe a second man was waiting outside in a car.

The robber is Caucasian in appearance, aged in his early 20s and about 183cm tall with a slim build. He was dressed in black, with a black Everlast hoodie.

There is no description of the other man or the getaway car.
