CIMIC contract at Indonesian mine extended

CIMIC Group says its mining unit Theiss has secured a three year extension to its contract at Indonesia's Mahakam Sumber Jaya coal mine.

CIMIC Group's mining unit has won a three year extension to its contract at a coal mine in Indonesia's East Kalimantan.

The construction and contract mining giant says Theiss' contract at Harum Energy's Mahakam Sumber Jaya coal mine will now run until March 2021.

CIMIC has been developing and operating the mine for 13 years and expects the extension will deliver another $300 million in revenue.
