Clark replaces Turner in Souths world tilt

Six players from Souths' grand final side are missing for the World Club Challenge, with Jason Clark replacing the injured Kyle Turner at lock.

Jason Clark will replace the injured Kyle Turner in South Sydney's line-up for their World Club Challenge clash with St Helens.

Turner, who has been slated by coach Michael Maguire to fill the huge hole left at Redfern by the departure of Sam Burgess, suffered a neck injury in Friday's All Stars fixture and is sidelined indefinitely.

Six players from Souths' grand final win over Canterbury are unavailable for the Langtree Park fixture against Super League champions the Saints on Monday morning (AEDT).

Local junior Clark, who came off the bench in the Rabbitohs grand final victory over the Bulldogs, moves into a new look backrow at lock.

Dumped skipper John Sutton and recruit Glenn Stewart, taking the place of Ben Te'o, who has joined Burgess in rugby union, round out the backrow.

Kirisome Auva'a (suspended), Lote Tuqiri (retired) and Apisai Koroisau (Penrith) are also missing from the team that broke the Rabbitohs 43-year premiership drought in October.

Bryson Goodwin moves into the centres for Auva'a, Joel Reddy comes onto the wing for Tuqiri, with Daryl Millard and Ben Lowe included on an extended bench in the 20-man squad, named by Maguire on Thursday.

The Rabbitohs' other high profile recruit Tim Grant is 18th man.

Greg Inglis will captain the side, with Issac Luke at hooker after he missed the premiership decider due to suspension.

Rabbitohs: Greg Inglis (capt), Alex Johnston, Dylan Walker, Bryson Goodwin, Joel Reddy, Luke Keary, Adam Reynolds, George Burgess, Issac Luke, David Tyrrell, Glenn Stewart, John Sutton, Jason Clark. Interchange: Daryl Millard, Ben Lowe, Chris McQueen, Thomas Burgess, Tim Grant, Cameron McInnes, Chris Grevsmuhl.
