Clarkson AFL coaching tree produces again

West Coast's Adam Simpson is the latest former assistant of Hawthorn four-time premiership coach Alastair Clarkson's to win a flag.

ALASTAIR CLARKSON'S COACHING TREE BEARS FRUIT AGAIN

Hawthorn master coach Alastair Clarkson has four premierships to his name and his former assistant coaches have carried on his winning ways.

Clarkson's fingerprints are on the past six AFL grand final winners:

* 2018 premier: West Coast - Adam Simpson

* 2017 premier: Richmond - Damien Hardwick

* 2016 premier: Western Bulldogs - Luke Beveridge

* 2015 premier: Hawthorn - Alastair Clarkson

* 2014 premier: Hawthorn - Alastair Clarkson

* 2013 premier: Hawthorn - Alastair Clarkson

Clarkson disciples who could be premiership coaches in future:

* Leon Cameron (GWS, former Hawks assistant coach)

* Brendon Bolton (Carlton, assistant coach)

* Chris Fagan (Brisbane Lions, football department boss)

* Stuart Dew (Gold Coast, played under Clarkson).
