Hawthorn coach Alastair Clarkson has drawn a line under his altercation with a Port Adelaide fan last Saturday, describing it as part of the ups and downs of AFL coaching.
Clarkson was caught on camera lashing out at a seemingly intoxicated Power fan, who heckled and pestered him for a photo.
The three-time premiership coach appeared to violently push Luke Helps away, saying he felt threatened on his walk back to the team's hotel.
Clarkson declined to respond when asked what he'd learned from the incident, saying he'd "prefer to put it behind" him.
But the three-time premiership coach did say the clash was all part of the "swings and roundabouts" of AFL footy.
"If you've involved in this game there are going to be some times when there are some significant highs and some times when it's not so good like it was earlier this week," he said.
"You just roll with the punches and get on with the game."
Clarkson said Saturday night's clash with North Melbourne provided him with a focal point to move on.
"We've got a game of footy so it's good we can turn our focus and attention to a big game against the Kangaroos," he said.
South Australian police have not laid any charges over the incident.
