Clear week for the AFL Tribunal

The AFL Match Review Panel has cleared all four players on report from this weekend's round, with no suspensions set to be incurred.

All four players reported from the weekend's AFL matches have been cleared by the match review panel (MRP), leaving Hawks forward Cyril Rioli and Magpies defender Marley Williams free to face off on Saturday afternoon.

Rioli and Williams were both handed striking reports from their games, but the MRP deemed their high contact was below a reportable offence.

Collingwood and Hawthorn meet in a Saturday afternoon blockbuster at the MCG.

In Geelong's 96-point demolition of St Kilda, Mav Weller and Dawson Simpson had their names taken for high contact but MRP assessments fell short of bans or even reprimands.

Two Carlton players were handed reprimands from their loss to the Hawks, with Dale Thomas and Dennis Armfield in the MRP's sights.

Armfield's six-year good record means his level two striking offence on Grant Birchall reduces to 70 points, though a misconduct charge against the same player will cost him $900.

Thomas' reckless strike of Isaac Smith will only cost him 60 points, meaning the pair are free to line up against GWS.

Fremantle defender Zac Dawson was perhaps lucky to escape with a reprimand for kneeing Jack Riewoldt, with his bad record meaning he can accept 97.50 points with an early plea, narrowly avoiding a week off.

His team-mate Michael Barlow must pay $1950 for making reckless contact with umpire Leigh Fisher in the same game.
