Climate action and indigenous issues will be on the agenda when a week of Senate hearings wraps up on Friday.

The Senate's environment committee will quiz officials on how the government is cutting greenhouse gas emissions and using the land sector to reduce carbon pollution.

It will also look into energy issues, environmental research and water reform.

A separate hearing by the finance committee will explore indigenous issues across the health and prime minister and cabinet portfolios.

The committee will examine the Indigenous Land Corporation and how the departments are handling indigenous jobs, education, community safety and health.
