The Silver Ferns finished their netball World Cup preparation with a flourish, dispatching South Africa 67-28 in a clinical display on Tuesday.
Coach Waimarama Taumaunu gave all her 12-strong squad court time, with little change in intensity across the four quarters.
With just 10 days until their opening match against Barbados in Sydney, the Silver Ferns were looking for a more complete performance after a stuttering 68-44 win in Hamilton two days ago.
Taumaunu was happier after Tuesday's showing at the Trusts Arena in Auckland as she again trialled a range of combinations.
"We got the whole 12 out there, we're injury-free and close to a 40-goal margin which I think is more reflective," she said afterwards.
"I've got a better idea about the strengths and weaknesses of different line-ups."
Taumaunu was particularly pleased with the way her defence lifted after a quiet time in the first Test.
"We got 25 gains in the first half, and about the same in the second. That was basically double of the first game, so I was much happier.
"I thought both combinations acquitted themselves well."
Taumaunu started with what looked to be her strongest line-up, slotting Laura Langman back into centre after she opened at wing defence for the previous two Tests, and pairing Casey Kopua with Leana de Bruin at the back.
The front line fired immediately, Langman and wing attack Grace Rasmussen slicing through the South African defence and sending in a feast of quality ball into shooters Bailey Mes and Maria Tutaia.
Ahead 15-8 at the first break, and with the defence generating a power of turnover ball, the Silver Ferns maintained momentum in the second spell to take a 31-15 lead into halftime.
Tutaia, back after missing Sunday's match with an ankle niggle, stepped up after a quiet first quarter to sink 10 from 11 in collecting 15 from 18 before she was replaced by Jodi Brown at the break.
Shannon Francois came on for Rasmussen, while Katrina Grant and rookie keeper Phoenix Karaka combined at the back.
The new line didn't skip a beat, taking the quarter 17-9 as the Silver Ferns took a 48-24 lead into the three-quarter break.
The Kiwis dominated the final 15 minutes 19-4 as South African coach Norma Plummer also rotated her squad, with the New Zealand bench proving superior in terms of depth.
