Clive Palmer plans to recontest Fairfax

Another epic battle in the Sunshine Coast seat for Fairfax is on the cards, with Clive Palmer saying he plans to fight Ted O'Brien to keep his seat.

Clive Palmer says he plans to recontest his Sunshine Coast seat of Fairfax at the next federal election.

"I intend to stand for the seat of #Fairfax at the next federal election. I have beaten Ted O'Brien once & I will beat him again," Mr Palmer tweeted on Thursday afternoon.

Mr O'Brien, who was selected as the LNP's candidate in May, lost to the mining magnate in the 2013 poll following three recounts.
