Coalition MPs still pushing media reforms

Some Coalition MPs are still pushing for media reforms and plan to meet with regional broadcasters in Canberra for talks.

Coalition MPs will try to put media reforms back on the agenda when some sit down with regional broadcasters in Canberra.

About 20 will meet with Prime boss Ian Audsley, Southern Cross Austereo chief Grant Blackey and WIN's Andrew Lancaster, The Australian reports on Monday.

Prime Minister Tony Abbott has tried to quell a push to change the reach rules, which stop commercial free-to-air broadcasters from taking over the regional stations.
