Coleman relishing battle with Wales' Jones

Wallabies enforcer Adam Coleman is looking forward to taking on Wales skipper and British and Irish veteran lock Alun Wyn Jones on Saturday.

Wallabies lock Adam Coleman is relishing the prospect of going up against Wales skipper Alun Wyn Jones in Saturday's encounter in Cardiff.

Despite having just 19 caps to his name, Coleman is already regarded as one of the best young second-rowers in the world but he'll have his work cut out against Jones, who's played in every British and Irish Lions Test since 2009.

Despite the gulf in experience between the pair, Coleman is not fazed at the prospect of facing the 32-year-old, who'll win his 111th cap at the Principality Stadium.

"I don't think he played against us last year but I watched him in the Lions series play very well and I'm sure he'll sure up the forward pack for Wales," Coleman said.

"That's one of the things you enjoy the most, is that you get to play against the best player in your position in any given country.

"That's something every weekend when you run on the paddock, you walk off the field thinking that was a good experience."

Coleman was outstanding in the recent win over the All Blacks and has cemented his place as the spiritual leader of the pack.

However, he said, although the 24-18 win was a shot in the arm for a young side, it shouldn't mask the fact the Bledisloe Cup's been in New Zealand hands since 2003.

"It was a step forward for our team," he said.

"After going that close to beating them in Dunedin, the boys were hurting from that loss and then being able to get that win (in Brisbane) was bittersweet, to be honest.

"We really want that Bledisloe Cup and it was disappointing that we didn't come away with it.

"In saying that, it was a good feeling getting the win and the boys getting enjoyment from all the hard work they've been putting in week in, week out."

Coleman, like Wallabies teammate Ben McCalman, is yet to officially decide on where he'll be playing next year following the Western Force's Super Rugby axing.

The 26-year-old has been linked with moves to Europe, which would be a huge blow to Wallabies coach Michael Cheika

Melbourne Rebels, who completed the signings of Wallabies centre Dane Haylett-Petty and his brother Ross from the Force last week, have also been linked along with the NSW Waratahs.

Coleman has remained tight-lipped about his future plans but indicated a decision could be announced very soon.

"It was good to see Dane and his brother sticking together going down to Melbourne," he said.

"My decision is almost made, I think. For me, I just want to really focus on this spring tour and I'm really looking forward to playing on the weekend."
