Favourites Australia defeated Jamaica 72-51 in the final group match to qualify for the semi-finals.

Jamaica will play England in the other semi-final.
Athletics
Australian Kathryn Mitchell broke a Commonwealth record on her first javelin throw to take home gold.

The 35-year-old threw 68.92 metres to win gold, which is the longest throw in the world for five years.
Mitchell broke down after her first throw when she realised she had won gold, ahead of Australia's Kelsey-Lee Roberts and South Africa's Sunette Viljoen.
Day seven also highlighted there's a place for all shapes and sizes in the Commonwealth Games - considering Australia's latest gold medallists.
At 202cm tall and weighing in at 130kg Daniel Repacholi is a giant with a pistol, and around 55cm taller and 72kg heavier than diver Esther Qin.
While Repacholi stood tall as he won gold in the 50m pistol at the Belmont Shooting Centre on Wednesday, it'd be hard to imagine him matching Qin's graceful piking from a diving board.
Qin and Georgia Sheehan teamed up to win the first diving gold medal of the Games in the 3m synchro springboard.
Qin and Sheehan upstaged their more favoured teammates Maddison Keeney and Anabelle Smith who led the standings going into the last dive but registered a failed dive - and no points - to finish last.
Meanwhile, Jamaica's Aisha Praught broke the Kenyan dominance in the 3000m steeplechase and won an historic gold.
Jamaica had never won a medal in a race longer than 800m, but Praught was able to close down favourite Celliphine Chespol and snare gold.
Meanwhile, Australian Brandon Starc shocked fans and won gold in the high jump and Australian Henry Frayne won silver in the long jump.

Beach Volleyball
Australian pair Mariafe Artacho Del Solar and Taliqua Clancy fought off a spirited Vanuatu to set up a final showdown with Canda's current world number one duo Sarah Pavan and Melissa Humana-Paredes on Thursday.
Men's pair Chris McHugh and Damien Schumann will also play for gold in front of the Coolangatta crowd.
