Slovenia's government has approved a compensation package for people known as "the erased."

These are people, mostly from other parts of the former Yugoslavia, who were illegally erased from the country's records after Slovenia declared independence in 1991.

Central European correspondent Kerry Skyring is in Vienna following the story, and spoke with Zara Zaher.
