Over 200,000 people from around the world applied to be selected for a privately-funded project that aims to send four people every two years on a one-way trip to Mars.
The field for the first so-called Mars One mission in 2024 has now been narrowed down to 100 - with a final selection process still underway.
One of the 100 who hopes to be on his way to the Red Planet is Taranjeet Bhatia, a post-graduate student of Computer Science at the University of Central Florida in the US.
