Federal Police are holding talks with local Muslim communities about the ultimate destination of funds raised for humanitarian projects in Syria.

The Australian Federal Police are holding talks with local Muslim communities to try to ensure funds raised for humanitarian projects in Syria won't be used for military purposes.

 

The move comes amid speculation that some Australia-held fundraising activities may be supporting groups involved in the Syrian civil war.
