Confidence up because of our plan:Morrison

Treasurer Scott Morrison says new figures showing a rise in confidence is because of the government's economic plan

Treasurer Scott Morrison says the reason consumer and business confidence is rising is because the Turnbull government is delivering on its economic plan.

New figures on Tuesday show in the past week consumer confidence jumped 3.3 per cent, while business confidence in August rose slightly to its long-run average.

"In the last year, we have seen a rise in consumer confidence and a rise in business confidence because this government has a plan for jobs and growth and is delivering jobs and growth," Mr Morrison told parliament on Tuesday.
